  • FIIIIRSSSST!!!

  • Cool

  • Class?!!??!

  • I love technology 📱

  • I’m a science junky, but watching this 1 year later is not so fun but if I had saw this live, which I don’t even know how to watch him live…. I would watch every single second of anything he said. Mark rober is absolutely amazing! So smart but interesting and makes everything fun and quirky.

  • i love your passion for physics

  • I understand it. Wow that's the first time I understand something on science. Lolololol

  • Would that make solid material just very dense fluids?

  • omg, I wanna be a physics teacher. I'm doing some work experience later this year and this is a rlly cool vid

  • 9999th comment :))

  • Oil is heaver than water 10:14 Mark was reallly nervous😅😅

  • OMG!!!!! Mind-blowing 😳😳😳😳😳

    • The best physic's class I ever had!!!

  • I love Ur channel

  • Dab

  • 20:40 wow this is really heavy Me: it's 25 pounds!!!!!

  • I love science and n MAth

  • 10:03 water is heavier than oil(density of oil< density of water) that's why oil settles on top when mixed with water.

  • So when your voice gets deeper over puberty does that mean your vocal chords are getting weaker?

  • Nooo I’m late in these classes can we get some more of these

  • I could do any degree if mark was my teacher . He could make me interested in watching Paint dry ..

  • He’s also reading a script I can see it

  • I like how he’s trying to act like bill nye

  • I'm going into 7th grade and Mark is making High school physics make sense to me 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Btw Mark is wicked smart

  • That's crazy air is not a gas but a liquid

  • bring thee trees back

  • I want mark to be my teacher

  • Sup mark how are you doing boi

  • Hey dude you should make a channel for these types of vid

  • I know all this but i still watched the whole video

  • be my science teacher or piggy will catch you

  • umm probably nobody will see this but ima ask this question how come u see really flat rocks then u see wierd shaped rocks???

  • 23:30 Because Heavier things totally fall faster

  • Is another class gonna happen? I wanna be in

  • im pretty sure EVERYONE would love him as there teacher

  • So he just explained to me why most women's voices are higher then men's. They exercise their vocal cords more (they talk too much).

  • Just become a teacher

  • 15 minutes huh

  • Love how you do your vids! Why are people ticklish, can we not be ticklish, and is everyone ticklish?

  • This guys is a genious at explaining things. I fricking love him.

  • The pretty writer unprecedentedly search because silica concurringly form between a wise windscreen. unused, lamentable orange

  • 0:50 sounds like a vampire

  • Imagine mark is your physics teacher, everything make sense and you like science

  • Dude I wish you were my teacher, you mange to make everything interesting I would not get bored

  • Can't believe its already been over a year.

  • So is there any sound in space?

    • There are no particles for the sound vibrations too travel through

    • No

  • The Sience in school is way more boring but this is sience class is way more intresting

  • Wow, I was not expecting to understand that, but I did. Nice job Mark

  • What's the difference between v (= velocity) and a (= acceleration)?

  • a nerveus man

  • *_What the heck is going on there?_*

  • When Mark becomes a HS Physic teacher, I'm DEF going back to school. Do I care that I just graduated college and I'm in my 20s? No. Do I care that I actually sucked at physics in high school? No. Will I be old as Methuselah sitting in a high school class with my backpack and notebook? Yes, yes I will.

  • oil is hevier than water lol

  • Haha if he’s a science teacher/physics if the people know him on yt they will go crazy but he would make the classes so fun

  • So hydrogen would also make ur voice higher?

  • “im scared of public speaking” **wants to be a high-school teacher**

  • Freedom Units 💀

  • I learn more from your channel than I do in school

  • my mind is overgrowing...

  • Loving the education love since.

  • Thank you!

  • Please consider subscribing

  • Your way better than my teacher i learn so much from you

  • ;)

  • YOU CHEATED MAWK WOBER!

  • A

  • 19:21 Mark Rober: help connect to others by making livestreams three times a week. Collin Furze: makes a six-foot tall corona-cycle

  • 9:31 is crazy!

  • 30:05 Did he just give MrBeast a shoutout thinking he is "not well known"?

  • I want mark to become my science teacher lmAo

  • He explained low mass / high mass and low area / high area without substituting and dividing. HE IS THE BEST PHYSICS TEACHER EVERRR

  • I can guarantee I would have passed science if you were my teacher. I hope your dream comes true because I think you could help influence younger people to pursue science. It took me until age 35 to not be afraid of it and part of that is because of your videos so...thank you for being awesome.

  • i love how the whole comment section is mainly about mark as a physics teacher, how he says his dream job is to be a high school physics teacher even though he used to work at nasa, and how he hates public speaking

  • I would actually do my homework

  • Who is still rewatching it in 2021?

  • the only online class i would like to attend

  • I never sucked helium EVER AND IM MAD AND REALLY SAD ABOUT THAT

  • 1 year later.......hello.

  • You would definitely be the best physics teacher.

  • When your teacher does a whole topic on this and mark covers it all in 10 minutes 🤔

  • how cool would it be if mark was your teacher

  • at 17:33 merica

  • True! If he was a science teacher then I would not be bored at all ever!

  • fun fact it took the horn 11 secands to get to them

  • Cool

  • yeah kids do ask why alot

  • I wish he were my physics teacher, class would be so fun

  • Tomorrow's someone's birthday. Dropping a video would be a treat for us, even for the celebration.. Love you Mark. Happy birthday in advance.

  • THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT EXPLANATION. First, weight of the air molecules does NOT have much of an effect on the frequency at which vocal chords vibrate. Vocal cords vibrate at a rate primarily determined by the elastic force of the muscle. Think of a pure vs damped oscillator. Damping doesn't change the frequency by much. To change the frequency by even a small, but detectable amount, you'd need a significant change in damping force relative to the elastic force of the vocal muscles, and this simply isn't so. Further, this effect simply can't explain the drastic differences we hear in the video. But if the frequency doesn't change, why do the voices sound so different? First, you need to understand that nearly the entirety of your voice actually comes from resonance. THE VOCAL CHORDS THEMSELVES SIMPLY MAKE A HIGH BUZZING SOUND - kind of like the mouthpiece of a woodwind or brass instrument. IT IS THE SHAPE OF THE INSTRUMENT / YOUR VOCAL TRACT AND HEAD that gives your voice it's primary quality and tone. Now for the final piece of the explanation: A RESONANT CHAMBER RESPONDS TO WAVELENGTH, NOT FREQUENCY. (With your vocal tract and head consisting of many complex resonant chambers). Namely, a resonant chamber will resonate primarily with sounds that have a wavelength that is roughly the same length as it (with a factor 2 or 4 depending on open/closed tube), as well as harmonic wavelengths that are an integer fraction of the fundamental wavelength. THE FUNDAMENTAL (same length as resonant chamber, with a factor of 2 or 4 depending on open/closed tube) WAVELENGTH RESONATES THE MOST, WHILE SHORTER HARMONIC WAVELENGTHS RESONATE LESS AND LESS (the higher the harmonic is). Now consider: WHILE FREQUENCY IS THE SAME, WAVELENGTH GETS LONGER IN HELIUM because the speed of sound is greater (lighter molecules propagate sound faster, and remember relationship that (speed of wave) = (wavelength)*(frequency)). This means that LOWER FREQUENCIES GET FILTERED OUT IN HELIUM BECAUSE THE WAVELENGTH BECOMES TOO LONG TO RESONATE. Likewise, HIGH FREQUENCIES ARE AMPLIFIED BECAUSE THEIR WAVELENGTHS BECOME CLOSER TO / EXACTLY THE FUNDAMENTAL WAVELENGTH FOR A GIVEN RESONANCE CHAMBER. And thus your voice (which consists of many frequencies overlayed) sounds higher with helium because higher frequencies are amplified/resonate more and lower frequencies are suppressed. Also, you can think of it a bit like a high pass filter. Hope this clears things up, because there's a lot of contradicting stuff out on the internet, and I've done a lot of digging.

  • What school are you going to teach at, because I want to enroll in it now!

  • “5 seconds for every mile in freedom units uh I don’t know what it is in kilometers... ‘America!’” *raises his hand* That had me laughing so hard!

  • losrt

  • Can anyone explain the down votes? I do not get it

  • I learn more in this than i would learn in a single science lesson in class

  • my science teacher is sooooo boring... Mark would make things waaaayyyy better

  • 11:05

  • im bout to do my 10th grade exams i saw the first clue and knew what it was. can i just say im very proud of myself :")

  • this is real science

  • The balance between a five year old and a PhD is a five and a half year old. Change my mind.

  • I’ve been an Architect for 20 years and have loved everything about science my entire life. I had NEVER had someone explain why helium makes your voice higher! I found myself smiling at that “Eureka” moment. My 16 year old son loves everything you’ve ever done and I’m glued to my screen every video as well. Keep up your enthusiasm; it’s addictive.

  • This is the first time I listen to class
